SLATE PAVING SLABS – WHAT TO EXPECT
We are extremely proud of the quality of our Brazilian slate. It’s an extremely dense material and doesn’t fade. The calibration is excellent and it’s a joy to sell.
As with all of natural products there is some colour variation in the individual stones and you should consider the overall appearance when laying. We also recommend that you use priming slurry the backs of the slabs before laying.
Slate is split naturally, which gives a naturally riven surface, similar to the natural sandstone but much smoother.
One thing to be aware of with slate is that it is will scratch if small stones or gravel are scraped over it, therefore we wouldn’t recommend it in an area next to gravel. However these scratches do wear away relatively quickly and disappear.

We split our patio packs free of charge, so you can order the amount that you require. Full pallets contain 18.72m2 and have the following ratio of pieces:
1: 295×295
1: 295×600
1: 600×600
Additional square meters will be provided based on the above ratio.
